Transparency report 2026

Our first report. Where information is missing we wrote "soon" rather than leaving a gap; we will update as it fills in.

Introduction

What this report covers

This report covers the eight coffees on our shelf as of September 2026: four single-origin filter coffees, three espresso blends and the taster pack made up of these coffees. For every coffee we give the information we hold in a table. We keep producer information at region and variety level unless we have permission to share a name publicly.

There is no price column in this report. We aim to add the price we paid in the next update, making clear whether it is FOB or farm gate, in which currency and on which date. We consider publishing a number without context more misleading than not publishing at all.

Altitude ranges come from supplier documents and vary from plot to plot. Variety information is as declared by the supplier. Roast profiles are updated by season.

Season

2026 season summary

In 2026 we bought green coffee from four countries. The Ethiopia and Guatemala coffees arrived in spring, the Colombia mitaca harvest in early summer and the new Brazil crop in autumn. All coffees were roasted at our Ankara roastery, on two to three roast days a week, at roughly half the drum's capacity.

We made two changes this year: in June we moved to the new roastery and rebuilt every profile for the new drum. We also began logging the roast curve of every batch; these logs will let us report batch-level consistency in the next edition.

What we have not done yet: price information, permission to share producer names, and verifying supplier statements on shade growing. All three are goals for the 2027 report.

Method

Methodology

The information in the table comes from three sources: lot documents from the importer or cooperative, our correspondence with suppliers, and our own cupping and roast records. Information we could not verify ourselves is marked as "supplier declaration".

The report is updated once a year; interim updates are noted on this page with a date. If we learn that something published is wrong, we correct it and state the correction openly in this section.
