French Press 1 L

The French press is full immersion: the coffee steeps in water for four minutes and is then separated by a metal mesh. With no paper filter the oils stay in the cup, and the result is full, round and warm. On this model the double-walled steel body keeps the coffee hot for a long time and will not break like glass.

The 1 litre capacity is enough for a breakfast table or an office. Mesh and lid come apart for easy washing, and a spare mesh is included. See our French press guide for the steps.

1:12–1:14 ratio, coarse grind, 94 °C water. Steep 4 minutes, break the crust and skim the foam, press slowly and serve straight away.
