Chemex 6 Cup

A design almost unchanged since 1941. Chemex's thick, folded filters hold back most of the oils and fine particles, giving an exceptionally clear, soft and sweet cup. As the carafe and brewer are one piece, you can bring it to the table and serve straight from it.

The 6-cup size suits two to four people. The glass is dishwasher safe; we suggest removing the wooden collar and washing it by hand. See our Chemex guide for the steps.

1:15–1:16 ratio, medium-coarse grind, 94 °C water. Place the three-layer side of the filter against the spout and aim for 4–4.5 minutes in total.
